Raising Profile
Friends of the Alex Lewis Trust
Liz Trevor, Nadine Collinson and Fiona Arnott co-founded a group with local business colleagues called “Friends of the Alex Lewis Trust”. The Friends decided to hold 2 events in aid of the Alex Lewis Trust to help raise the profile of the Trust so that Alex, a quadruple amputee, may continue his work in helping others facing life’s challenges. Each event is a celebration of positivity and collaboration with fabulous music, food and wine. The Friends of the Alex Lewis Trust have been truly overwhelmed with the generosity and support they have received to date from their sponsors, colleagues, friends and families. Headlining the “Live Lounge” was rock legend, John Illsley (founder of Dire Straits and renowned artist) and his amazing band who played a truly memorable and magical set taking the audience through the life and times of Dire Straits. Local talent, Lucas & King, Jake Gauntlett and Darren Black completed the musical line-up. The evening was compered by Jim Murray (actor and co-founder of the Murray Parish Trust). Event sponsors were: NFU Mutual Winchester Agency, 21six and The Peter Cooper Motor Group and local producers: Hattingley Valley, Winchester Distillery, Pomp and Petals.
Overall, the Friends raised over £15,000 from the event, all of which will go directly to the Alex Lewis Trust.
